Worry rolled over me in waves as my heart palpitated in my chest. "Oh no! How could this happen? "I thought, flustered.

Instinctively, I knelt down beside Albus. He was breathing heavily and all I could hear was his whimpers. A million thoughts ran through my mind as I came up with the worst possible scenarios. It was as if time had stopped, around me were no longer in motion. I was terrified, and had no clue what to do next.

"Jane? What happened?" my mother queried, as she rushed into the room, "Everything went quiet all of a sudden, so I sensed something amiss. As she took the scene that lay before her, her eyes went wide with horror. However, unlike me, she knew what to do in a blink of an eye. "Quick, Jane, we need to get Albus to the vet!" she commanded, wasting no time by scooping up Albus and pushing the car door open. Before I could even register what was happening, we were already on our way to the vet.
