One fateful day, Luke was absent from school and this continued for a few days. Mrs Lim was unable to contact his mother so she asked for a volunteer to bring the homework to his house. Without hesitation, I volunteered to do so but actually, I had an ulterior motive-to find out what was going on once and for all. After school, I followed my teacher's instructions and walked down a narrow street leading to a desolate and remote area. After what seemed like eons, I finally arrived at my destination.
